So my friend/roommate and I are flying in mid-April to find an apartment for this year. What are some places you would/would not recommend? We're trying to make the most of the three days we're going to be down there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone wants to show us around, that'd be great as well!

As far as the area around the school, you can probably find a lot of rental homes online (rentals.com) as well as apartments. You really can't go wrong within a 5 mile radius or so. That part of the valley is pretty clean, middle class suburbia. I've lived in that area for 5 years now and can't think of any "bad" areas really. I know there are some nice apartments on Baseline just between Recker and Higley about .5 miles west of campus on the north side of the road.

Nice apartments on Power/Guadalupe (just west of Power). Lots of rentals as well as apartments, as was stated. Nearly all will offer some benefits such as one or two months free rent. You can't go wrong if you stay in south east Mesa/Gilbert area.
