So, classes are finished. Thinking about asking my professors for LORs, but I'm not planning to apply to any programs soon, but eventually to medical school. Should I ask them to write me a LOR for medical school and then if I need LOR for programs, etc, then I ask them to modify the letter? Thanks!

What programs are you talking about? Like an SMP? If you are going to medical school eventually, ask them for a letter to medical school because now would be the time they know you best. Even if you apply to an SMP, they know you are trying to get into medical school, so those letters written by your professors for medical school will also work to get admitted to any SMPs, atleast to my knowledge. Good Luck

Yeah, eventually I plan to apply to a SMP or a postbacc. So the best route to take is to ask for a medical school LOR then? Does anyone else agree/disagree?

I'm applying next cycle and to a post bacc this August. I asked for them now. They know I'm doing both so they made the letter all "medical school physician driven" so it could work for either. Like another person said it's when they know you the best.
