I should have asked my Organic Chem teacher last semester for a letter of recommendation. I went to his office for help a couple of times so I'm sure he'll recognize me if I were to see him. However though, we still don't know each other that well. It's easy asking a professor you currently have for LOR for me since I can just go to their office hours and have friendly conversations with them after we're done going over subject content.

I want to ask this former professor of mine for a LOR, but I don't want it to be a one-liner, so I want to come to his office a talk with him a few times before I ask. But since I'm not in his class anymore, I find it kind of weird just dropping by and asking for a chat.

How do you guys think I should go about doing this? And yes, I'm being a socially awkward freak at the moment, but I'm not usually like this, so cope with me.

Pretend like you have some questions due to studying for the organic section of the DAT. Just take some real/pretend organic problems from Kaplan BB or destroyer. After a couple of times just drop question about LOR. Time is getting short though.

Ahh, that's very clever, I think I'll try that. But you're right, time is getting tight for me as I remember the first professor I asked for a LOR took a year and a half :scared:. Thanks again.
