I really like to work out and play basketball.
I wanted to know which residency programs are the best for gyms?
I was also curious to know which residency programs are also good for families?

Loyola - Chicago has brand new facilities...the best you'll find.

Re: family - I love Milwaukee, also Pittsburgh a family oriented city. Untimately depends on what region of country you want to be in.

My kind of person! Well, I just have to say that UTMB in Galveston has an awesome gym..I practically live there. It's huge, has basketball courts, pool, hot top, and new cardio , weights, aerobics....everything! I love it there, but I am a gym rat. Oh and by the way...the anesthesia program is awesome also. Are you a 3 rd year applying for next year? Just curious. PM mye if you want more info.....

Only UCSF showed us they rec center, and, other than the view of GG park from the stair-steppers, it wasn't too impressive. The residents at Mayo and U of Chi really talked up the athletic facilities, but didn't show them. I can't say anything about the program at MN (I neither applied nor interviewed, but I'm in medical school there), but the student rec center is really very nice and is close to the hospital.
