everyone know that its 36-38 because of the crossing of the mitochondria for the 2 NADH... in prokaryotes no such problem because no organelles and energy transfer occurs on inside of outer cell membrane and therefore 38ATP generated in cellular respiration....
buttt most classes for ease of numbers use
NADH electron donor molecule makes 3 ATP
FADH2=2ATP
when it actually is 2.5 per NADH and 1.5 per FADH2
so for the DAT should our calculations use the 3/2 or the 2.5/1.5?
im pretty sure the 3/2 is what should be used cuz its just easier but someone please tell me whats up
