After receiving a C in mamm. phys. I., I decided it would be beneficial to re-take the course. Unfortunately I took the lower-division biology classes at community college, and despite learning the same topics, was not given credit for all of the equivalent ones at the University. In order to enroll for mamm. phys. I the professor needed to waive my pre-requisites. She knew that I had already taken her course and said that she was sorry, but since there's so many people already on the wait-list, she wouldn't be able to waive them. I pay so much money to this school, I don't really think it should be up to here whether I am able to repeat this course. I really don't want to take Bio 2 at the university, just to meet the pre-requisities.

Do you think there is a policy preventing her at a UC school from waiving the pre-requisites twice, or is she just personally holding me back so that other people can get into the course?

I was so disappointed to learn this as I was hoping to re-place the grade for osteopathic schools and also to help with the MCAT. Should I try another teacher in spring quarter? Any advice on this?

It sounds like it might be more trouble than its worth. Is there anything else you could re-take instead that might help you out?

I suppose there is also mamm. phys. II, and exercise physiology. Although after all of the bad experience with her, I'm somewhat reluctant to sign up for any other course she teaches. I really thought replacing a C with an A would help my science GPA, but it is becoming quite a hassle. I worry that C adds another red flag, what do you think?

Only retake C- and lower. You aren't going to be able to get around UC policies because there are just too many people constantly trying to get into classes for exceptions to be made. However, the point is that you don't NEED to retake this class and you won't be ABLE to take this class. There is no problem. Just move on. Don't try another teacher, it won't help and one class isn't going to do anything for MCAT.

I don't think there's a policy preventing it. I think that she is deciding personally that she doesn't want to add me in to prevent another person from taking the class. In reality, people re-take classes at UC__ all the time. So you don't think it's worth it to re-take mamm-phys or bio I, considering I recieved a C in both?
