Def def go! Being able to rotate in CA can be a great help matching and more than likely youll have more elective time in that region too! Good luck!should i attend if i already am in to kcu?
cali would be sweet, but is there anything striking that would make me pick touro over kcu?
thanks.

If cost is an issue for you, Touro and the Bay Area are going to be your most expensive option. That was my primary reason for not submitting their secondary. You can always live in that area when you're making the big bucks someday.
wait can u work in cali as a doc even if u didnt do residency or whatever there. or is it tough to do that? im not learned on this matter
Living in SF sounds like the moooove though. If you don't have a whip, is there a way to bus/train to school? When I interviewed there, some students told me that there is always a small group of students who end up living in San Francisco and car pool to school. If I end up officially deciding attend here, I may highly consider this. I did not apply to KCU, but what grabbed me about Touro was the students and faculty--extremely friendly and supportive.

I'm from nor-Cal. Vallejo is not a very nice area and is also extremely expensive. I had an interview at Touro-CA and canceled it as soon as I had another acceptance just because of it's location.
I wonder how often they have to carpool to school. Does Touro-CA have mandatory attendance or do most people watch lectures at home and only go to campus for labs/etc...? I would totally live in SF.
Here's the important thing to consider: barbeque vs Napa wines and SF seafood and/or Mexican food.
How is the BBQ in KC?
The absolute best. We have classmates from Oklahoma, Texas, Memphis, and they all say the bbq is amazing. I suggest Jack Stacks to start. Then Joes, then Q39. LCs BBQ is ok for the rugged back doorsy experience but thats about it.How is the BBQ in KC?
I don't know much about BBQ, but the Mexican food in CA is pretty damn good though....
I've never been to KC or the mid-west for that matter, but how does it compare to phils lolololI'm from San Diego. If I was given a choice between continuing medical school or getting a lifetime supply of California burritos and crane asada fries...I'd have a really really hard time making that decision.

Man thats just scratching the surface. There is surf and turf burrito from Lucha libre, tacos from tacos el Gordo near Chula vista, pollo asado and christian fries at vallartas and alligator burgers at bareback grill in pacific beach!! UCSD alum here and super well fed daily!😍

You got all my favorite foods! christian fries are so good. The is a taco place in KC as good as El Gordo man its soooo good.

Lolitas for SURE but before I left Palaminos in Kearny Mesa had the best cali IMO. And the salsas there was on point.
@SynapticDoctah might have a different opinion though.
To keep the thread on topic @sandstorm223 has touro ever considered working with Vallejo county to get rid of the toll? Also @Medschoolornah did you ever decide to interview at Touro>?
