Wherever I interview, I always hear them tell me of their first-time COMLEX pass rate. But what about the attrition rate? Do they not tell us because it's so insignificant (like 1 or 2 people drop out), or are we being kept in the dark? I know that some carribean schools have a high attrition rate, but what about osteopathic schools?

From what I heard they are very insignificant, but it depends on the school. You can talk to people attending the school and ask them.

The average attrition rate for alll osteopathic schools is available from AACOM, but it is a couple of years behind. In the latest data, the rate of withdrawals/dismissals of 1st year sudents was 3.1% and the total rate was 5.6%. Leaves of abscence for 1st years was 1.2% and the total was 5.1%.

See http://aacom.org/data/annualreport/index.html Table 11 for details.
