good idea. maybe i'll read First Aide outload to myself and then play it back on my MP3 player while hiking/fishing/driving/all the fun things i'm doing this summer. good ideer

There is web prep on MP3 and goljan path lectures on MP3. Goto the step 1 forum and you'll see a thread on web prep.

You can get Gold Standard for USMLE Step I but it's over $200 at least. People at my school spilt it.
I got the Goljan audio lectures off Ebay. They're in mp3 format, and I burnt them onto audio CDs to use in my car. The lectures cover several hours of path (systems based). I found them highly effective as Goljan will even talk about how the questions will be framed. A couple of qusetions showed up nearly word for word on the exam.

There is a list of all the USMLE audio titles on the titles page.
Most of these audio books are either audio CDs or audio MP3s that can be downloaded.
If you shop around the project pages usually you can get a good deal. Either the Lippincott banner for 20% off will help or you can compare the prices of the same audio programs from different sites by following the links. Check out How to Find USMLE Audio . . .CHEAP.
There are also some Free USMLE Audio Step 3 downloads.

The truth is, two years ago there wasn't hardly any USMLE audio to be found - - - and I've always thought it was a great idea! I put all my review books on tape (with an actual tape recorder, if you can believe it). The method worked great for me.
I even met with one of the major publishers a couple of months after they started releasing some titles in audio and encouraged them to do more.
Luckily for your class, anyone interested in audio can now find it on the web - and publishers are actually making it. Now there's Gold Standard, Recall, USMLE Step 3, USMLE World Osmosis (in the works apparently), and soon USMLEHelp audio. No more tape recorders!
