So, in my last semester of college, I plan on taking 4 classes and working on my thesis. One class I am gonna take pass/fail and one I think I will audit. Anyone ever audit a course before? I thought I'd be a good idea since grades don't matter anymore. . .

Auditing a few classes should not be a problem. I have audited a couple of classes, and it hasn't been a big issue.

Sitting in on a class without getting a final grade.

You have to ask permission to sit in on a class? How strange! Do you also take the exams? Is it just for the sake of learning? I have never heard of this before!

To have the audit noted on your transcript, you must ask the teacher for permission to audit. Then, you are responsible for all the work that everyone else in the class is assigned, this includes tests, papers, homework. If you come out with a passing grade, the audited class is indicated on your transcript. It's a nice low-pressure way to learn about something that interests you.

I've audited several classes. I didn't have to do any work but sit there and even that was hard somedays. So, that's the drawback of auditing, you might not want to even go. I have an audit on my transcript that I went to once or twice.

Hahaha. You know how hard a class is when the counselor walks in, looks at you and says, "Are you auditing this class?"

This is how one of my audits worked, too.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Now, I just have to decide which class to audit.😉

i'd go for 'advanced quiltmaking' or 'honor's sqare-dancing'......they sound like classes that chicks and ADCOM's would dig.

Happy new year Dr. Crane, you're a fu**ing baller! holy crap, 5/6 man, thats nuts.:wow:
