for those of you who took the august '03 mcat, when did you begin receiving interview invitations? i'm assuming scores were released mid-october--anyone receive invitations by the beginning of november?

yep--I received my first interview invite (from Columbia) by the first week in November (maybe even earlier-I cant remember), and I took the August MCAT. That was extraordinarily quick, though, and it took a while for others to trickle in. Expect the bulk of your invites to come in late november through january. good luck

Since I didn't submit AMCAS until 9/1, I didn't receive my first interview until early in December and the bulk of the interviews took place in February and March.

Scores came out October 15th and I received my first invite about a week later. I think it depends partly on the school however. If the schools are only waiting for your scores then you should be in good shape.

I had 2 interviews in November, 1 in December, and 2 in March (on my birthday, strange enough).

So, there's probably no form to the situation. Be prepared by November, but don't worry if you have to wait till after New Year's . . . . .although a Jan. 1 interview would really suck.

I can't believe the next round of kiddies are coming through already. It seems like only yesterday. . . . .
Good luck to all of you.

I got my first one right after halloween and I didn't submit AMCAS until early October. The bulk of the invites came in November.

i had 3 interviews and all were before winter break. one in late october, one in early december and one in mid-december.

the invitations for those came in mid-october (literally the day after scores were released), early november, and late november respectively. best of luck.

I started to hear from schools in late October and stopped interviewing in March. I had my AMCAS done before the MCATS and a lot of secondaries submitted before I got my score back...I think the sooner you can get through all of the paperwork, the better shot you will have at hearing quickly from admissions offices.

I got my first invite a week after scores came out in October, and I actually interviewed in October at that school. Also, I had one in November, one in Feb, and one in March. I think it pretty much varies from school to school, but your state schools will most likely get back to you the quickest.
