thanks i appreciate it. but i literally boosted my score 7 points in two weeks haha. But if it makes a difference then I'll just get it done on the 24thIf you’re applying this cycle I would take it the earliest that you can- not that it’s late in the cycle now but you have to remember you need to wait a month for score, submit your application, wait for secondaries, fill our secondaries, and then you make it to the pile to be reviewed. So I would say as early as possible.
Also just from personal experience pushing the date is just a gateway to undermining your self confidence! I promise you’re not going to suddenly get a 528 over 2 weeks
That is likely based on outside factors/the test you took. How long have you been studying for?thanks i appreciate it. but i literally boosted my score 7 points in two weeks haha. But if it makes a difference then I'll just get it done on the 24th
1 month and a half. and im pretty certain its based off doing uworld those two weeksThat is likely based on outside factors/the test you took. How long have you been studying for?
A 7 point gain is large enough that it is likely at least partially related to a real improvement in fund of knowledge. Whether it is a 3 point boost in fund of knowledge and 4 point random variance, or the full 7 points is reflective of an improvement in your fund of knowledge, it's impossible to say with just two data points.1 month and a half. and im pretty certain its based off doing uworld those two weeks
I appreciate the thorough response. average of 501 and the last 2 exams has been a 504. I'm aware its pretty late but I am set on DO and I have a major procrastination issue so I have to apply for my own sanity. sticking to august 24 is the move based on all this info thank youA 7 point gain is large enough that it is likely at least partially related to a real improvement in fund of knowledge. It's hard to advise without knowing what kinds of scores you're getting in practice tests. If that 7 point boost took you from a 493 to a 500, then I'd probably study a little longer. If you went from 510 to 517, then you're probably in good shape. Regardless, both dates are very late for MD, and getting close to being late for DO as well.
The DO cycle is longer, so OP would be OK for themA 7 point gain is large enough that it is likely at least partially related to a real improvement in fund of knowledge. Thanks so much 🙏🏽. Would you say moving it to September 5 to closely guarantee an above 500 would be worth it or should I stick to August 24?The DO cycle is longer, so OP would be OK for them
Take the exam when you are 100% ready for it, even if it means skipping an app cycle. Thanks so much 🙏🏽. Would you say moving it to September 5 to closely guarantee an above 500 would be worth it or should I stick to August 24?
Many thanks and I promise I won’t check and lock in once I get my answer 🙏🏽😂
Strong emphasis on this, believe me 3 gap years later I had the FOMO but this is the rest of your life so wait until you’re ready!Take the exam when you are 100% ready for it, even if it means skipping an app cycle.
