Aug.29th DAT results- feedback Plz

Took dat on 29th and im trying really hard to complete the application process asap. But it would really motivate me knowing that I've got a shot of being accepted somewhere.

PAT - 19
QR -15 🙁 😡

The really frustrating part about my qr score is that i'm a EE major! Horrible, i know. That said, what are my chances? My gpa is 3.4 and my science gpa is 3.1. Be honest plz, thanks!

Ouch! Great scores except for the QR. Many schools make 15 or 16 a cutoff for scores in any section. I'm not sure which schools. If you have your sights set on a popular school, you'll need to retake. If you are happy being accepted to any old school, than you are probably just fine. Most schools don't consider QR to be that crucial.

Your scores are pretty good and look alot like mine, except a few of my scores were 2 or three points higher or lower...they're generally the same. My QR was very low too...so I'm retaking, it doesn't hurt to give a retake a shot... 😉

Your scores are almost exactly the same as mine:

PAT - 18
QR - 15
RC - 19
Bio - 18
GC - 21
OC - 19
TS - 19

My GPA is similar as well! I think Javadicavity is on track with his speculations. I think if we wanted to get into a popular school then we might need to retake it. However, I believe we have a good chance at private schools like BU, NYU, Case, Tufts....maybe Nova....

I received an interview at Case and filled out a secondary for Nova so far....To be of encouragement, I've come across many situations where students with our scores or even below got into dental schools, even with our average GPA's. So keep your head up. I still am contemplating whether to retake the DAT or not because I really want to get into Ohio State and they have an average DAT of 19....So, we'll have to see...Man, I just don't want to pick up that big fat Kaplan Book again! 😳

thanks for the input. I'm not sure i have enough time to take it again before the oct15 deadline for texas schools. Otherwise I would definetly give it a second shot. I'm just worried about doing worse in some other subjects.
Same here, just the thought of cracking open my books again sends chills down my spine. 😱
