august mcat how soon till interviews

hi guys,

how soon after the august mcat do you think i might start getting interview invites? and what about the dates of the actual interviews themselves? i will be complete once the scores are released

Don't hold your breath. From my experience so far, its at least a month or two after completion that you'll get your interviews.

Invites, with dates approximately three weeks after.

so we're looking at mid-december invites at the earliest? and the ride gets longer...

The range for me thus far has been between 2 weeks to just over 1 month from the time my app was complete to the time I received an invitation to interview. Then it is another 2 weeks to two months until the actual interview. For instance, at NYMC the earliest date I could book was 2 months from the time I received their invite, but at Wake I was able to book two weeks out. Some schools are of course much slower (OHSU comes to mind). Good luck!

I had a friend last year that took the august mcat for the 1st time, and had most of his applications in by august. He had 4 interviews by the end of fall semester. I think 2 of them were in november, so there is hope.
