August MCATs

I know this must have been posted before, but i wanted to know if there is anyone who's taking the August MCATs and applying to med school for 2002. I didnt take the April MCATs, but i will be taking the August MCATs. I'm planning on submitting my applic towards the end of june, however, i wanted to know if anyone else was doing the same thing or has done it and if it's a good idea...applying without having an MCAT score availabe until october? 😕

Hey Sweetz,

I would still encourage you to apply. However, keep in mind the following:

1) A lot of schools will consider an application to be incomplete without MCAT scores.

2) Many schools have rolling admissions based on a first come first serve basis.

3) Adcoms will be staring at your GPA as the only academic indicator. This can be a good or bad thing depending on where you are on the scale.
