Sorry in advance for what probably seems like a redundant question.

So, I was looking at predents and noticed something that has me worried. I rarely see any interviews from people who applied in august like myself for the less competitive schools. Did I basically screw myself by applying so late, or am I just seeing a self-selecting bias toward early applicants on predents?

I wouldn't worry, as long as your DAT scores & GPA are where they need to be. I know quite a few people who submitted within the first couple weeks of August in previous years, and took their DAT in August, and still got multiple interviews/acceptances to a variety of schools.

Well that's definitely good news, but my GPA is a bit low. I only have a 3.3 🙁

Of course I guess if I don't get in, this is great incentive to resubmit my application on the first day next cycle....

I know plenty of people who have applied at end of August or early September and are in dental school.

Stop worrying about nit picky stuff that dental school usually dont have time to even look into. If your application is worthy of an interview you will be contacted. You have a chance still

+1. Keep in mind that there will be people that are interviewed in aug and sept that will be rejected. The application is what's most important.

Fair enough. I am mostly concerned that my application might just be late enough that too many seats will have already been "filled" for my application to make much of an impression. I guess I'm just agitated from the waiting. Thanks for the input though 👍
