Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne?
Holding a glass up for:
My sister Susan, my first baby sitter, who passed in December
My brother Marc, my first playmate, who passed in January
My childhood friend Diane, who passed in October
My friend, Dr Tara, one of the reasons I am involved so heavily with nontrads, who passed in May at far, far too young an age
And for those in years passed
Paul, the ex-Navy Seal who always had my back with unfailing support
Nick, who I knew most of my life and kept my back in shape for nearly 30 years
Michael, who become my best friend in junior high from the day we met on the steps and who made it on Broadways
Lastly, Anne far too important for words, far too young in age, and far too short in time
May they never be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
