I am looking to apply for Ph.D. programs this fall and am struggling to find faculty members that study autism, let alone that are accepting students during this upcoming cycle. I am mainly looking at Clinical and Developmental programs, but would be open to Cognitive and Neuroscience programs as well - I'm interested in children, specifically infants and toddlers.

I have a short list, but would prefer more programs to apply to. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Autism is a pretty broad category (e.g., diagnosis; treatment; epidemiology; education), with many different disciplines involved (clinical/counseling psych; education; developmental psych; ABA). If you are really interested in research on treatment of autism, you might want to expand your search to ABA programs (or at least other programs with access to ABA researchers). If you are interested in early detection, check out Deborah Fine and Marianne Barton's early detection lab at UConn. There is also an autism focused psycholinguistics lab there run by Inge-Marie Eigsti.

You might also want to check out UCEDD Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) programs.
