im (still) pondering whether or not i will defer for a second year, and i was looking at the average age of matriculation for a few medical schools. most of them said 24. however, they also said the age range was 20-40 or so at matriculation at most of them too.
if i defer again, i will be 24 when i enter school. my question is this: are these average ages misleading? i mean if everyone is matriculating at age 22 except a few 40 year olds, it would skew up the numbers unrealistically. or do you really feel that most ofyour classmates are 23-25 when they enter school?
im just trying to get a better picture of how i will fit into my medical school class. i dont want to be older than everyone else!
