So, I decided that I will be applying this fall for optometry schools. I am a 4th year bio major at University of California Irvine and although I have done a lot of extracurricular activities related to vision and optometry, my GPA is about a 3.1 overall. I retook a class too and improved. I am planning to take my OAT in 3 weeks time and today I took a practice test and got a 330. So hoping I do well on my exam (350 or above). What are your thoughts on my chances? My main school I want to go to is NECO in Boston since its close to my parents home and has a great program. I have gotten to meet the dean of admissions and a professor there as well these past 2 yrs. If I get into NECO, I will be the happiest person ever. I would appreciate for your thoughts. Thanks!
