Hello Everyone!

So I'm about to graduate with a Masters in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy specialization.

I'm looking for jobs in New York and am wondering with the situation with the economy, what is the average amount of time it would take to find a job as a counselor, therapist, case manager, etc in New York with a Masters in Psychology??

If someone could answer that for me, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

I really doubt any reliable numbers exist. All that anyone can likely tell you are anecdotal, personal experiences.

Some schools do survey their graduating classes and come up with numbers. I would start there -- but again, it's going to vary and probably not be applicable to the job market today.

I would focus less on the amount of time needed and more on the quality of your search and interview process.
