The impression I got from talking to a couple general neurologists is that the ones who actually make the higher end of the salary curve are focusing lots of time on doing specific procedures (EMG's, reading EEG's etc.) Whether that means you need to do a fellowship in Neurology to make the big bucks I dont know.
