Average Stats Thread - Secondaries/Interviews 2006

when did u guys e-submit and have the printouts mailed that you received secondaries and interviews already? I'm starting to get nervous cuz my printout isn't mailed out yet... 🙁

I e-submitted on May 27th but because one of my transcripts came in late, the mailouts weren't until July 22. Then my first interview invite was around August 17 or so.

Great job on your DAT's! Those are some solid scores and that will definitely be in your favor. Even though your science GPA is below 3.0, I believe you proved your worthy of admissions based on your DAT. Good luck! (I dont believe in luck but I don't know how else to say it! 😀 )

Yeah, I'd say you qualify for this thread. Solid DAT scores! With your GPA's around 3.0, you at least get past the screening stage at most schools and have a fair chance at interviews. Did you submit app already? How's it going so far?

DAT scores from last year AA21/TS21/PA16.
Interviews to Baylor only out of 17 schools.

Retook DAT's AA21/TS20/PA20
Haven't turn in my application yet.

Interviews scheduled: Case, Columbia, Minnesota so far.

While some schools may have a 3.0 gpa cutoff, looks like these schools don't. The interviews are going to be important I suspect.

thanks general, i just took my DAT a week ago, i think it takes about 3 weeks to get there, and my secondaries will be completed soon, hopefully. I still have some lor's to take care of, but after this, i'll be all done!

Do you guys think I should take the DAT again? I'm not a good test taker and I'm afraid if I take it again in November, I'll do even worse 🙁 Any advice?

Hi Alfie5884,

I'd say that your stats are not average. Your DAT's are average but your GPA's are above average. You shouldn't have much to worry about. It seems like you chose a good group of schools to apply to. Personally, I wouldn't take it again because those scores are good enough to gain admissions to many of the schools you applied to.

Now I have 2 interviews so far: Case & Nova.

YYYEEEEEHHHAAAWWW!!!! i just got an interview for temple. suprised its so early cuz my letter of recs were sent out until aug 23rd. wow im sooo relieved. ohh here are my stats.

gpa 2.95 w/o quality its 2.98

ALRIGHT!! Congratulations! I like it when I see people with below 3.0 make it to the interview. It gives much hope to many. Great DAT scores! Good luck in the interview!

Thanks for the advice Generallee. I guess I won't take the DAT again. I'll just hope for the best 😳 I just want to get into NYU.
