I was just wondering what the average age of someone entering podiatry school is, or how old you guys are?

I know there are some unusual circumstances where people go back to school and then apply to podiatry school when they are much older, but typically what is the avg age?

i think if you look across the country, you'll see that the average ages for professional schools are on the rise - given the stressed value of professional degrees these days, so its not unconventional to see more mature students (wrt age). In my class, I believe our average start age was somewhere around 24 or 25 - with the youngest being 20 (we called him junior), and the oldest i believe was 57. I turn 27 soon - and quite a few people in our class have hit that mark already (except junior of course lol)

the average age for my class (CPMS 2010) is either 24/25. the youngest student being 22, and the oldest being 33.

I'll be 41 when I start at DMU.

that is admirable dougifresh27 🙂. If you don't mind me for asking, what was your main line of work/education prior to deciding on podiatric medicine?
