I think the distinction is that extracurricular activities are the clubs, offices held, etc. while in college or graduate school (such as the pre medical club, TA, etc.). Community activities would be those non school related activities such as hospital volunteer, rape crisis counselor, suicide help line volunteer, etc. Good luck!
