For all of those who submitted a secondary to AZCOM and received an interview invite, I was just wondering approximately how long it took to get an interview invite after having sent the secondary in? I am getting ready to submit my secondary, but was curious of about how long they are taking. 🙂

I submitted my secondary on 7/17 and received an interview invite on 8/20 and will be interviewing on 9/27

Good luck with your interviews prospective AZCOMers! Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Introduce yourselves to some of us MSIIs while you're on campus. We'd be glad to speak with you.

Go Here - AZCOM Website and click on INTERACT NOW! which appears when you hover your cursor over Interact at the top. That should get you there. Then login or setup an username.

So, what are you thoughts on the clinical years at AZCOM that everyone seems to bash on SDN? Have you heard the same story or do most of the AZCOMers feel comfortable with their clinicals? Also, how are they assigned? Lottery or some other format? Where are they? For instance, with a wife and kids, one is more likely to want to stay put in AZ as much as is possible.

I am a current student at MWU Glendale campus doing the biomed undergrad. I have quite a few friends that are AZCOMers and they don't seem to have any problems with what the clinical years hold for them. I also know a couple of people who have graduated from there and they haven't complained either. Aside from the people who have bashed AZCOM on SDN I have heard nothing but wonderful things. Besides that, the school is awesome anyway.

I was just curious of everyone's stats too; GPA, MCAT and so on. 😀

I found my student ID for them on both the email application that they sent me and on the snail mail application. You may want to check out your materials to see if your student ID number is on there.

got an interview for the last week of september....kinda hoping it would be later.

call them and see if you can reschedule if you're not happy with the date

hi all. trying to schedule hotel arrangements. this is my first interview...anyways just wondering for those who have gone to AZCOM. What hotel did you stay at? did you stay just overnight or for two nights? im trying to save money and want to only stay one night but i dont want to be lugging my stuff around the campus during my interview...what to do?

I'm actually staying with a friend of mine from high school. We are flying in for the whole weekend and flying out right after the interview.

For those looking for lodging--

I believe the school has a program in which students host interviewees. I haven't seen any documentation, so perhaps it hasn't gotten up and running for the year, but if you're looking for cheap lodging, I'd ask the school (or one of us). With a student-host room and an airport shuttle from SuperShuttle, you can probably get through Phoenix for under $50 easily.

Good luck with the interviews!

I guess that would be me...I am looking for a place to stay overnight at...I will be only staying one day (night of 9/28) and will leave on 9/29 after the interview process. I dont want to stay at a hotel because none of them seem very walkable and I dont want to rent a car since that would be too expensive.....thanks all. PM me or email at [email protected] thanks
