Hi,
I am a pharmacy graduate. I have completed 2 year Diploma of pharmacy and 4 year B.S. Degree of pharmacy in 2004 from India. I want to continue my carrier as a Pharmacist in US. But i can't eligible for FPGEC cause now FPGEE requires 5 year degree in pharmacy. So what are my options now, if i want to stay in the same carrier??? Please help me...

I don't think it looks that good for you without attending a pharmacy school here in the states. My state (CA) adopted certification by FPGEC as an application requirement for licensure. If you don't qualify for certification by that committee, I think the only recourse might be for you to attend school here. That may not be too daunting, however, because most schools allow you to test out of courses so you wouldn't have to take the full course load.

One thing to consider...I have known many foreign pharmacists who choose not to attend school for licensure have worked in non-dispensing pharmacy jobs. First Data Bank employs many foreign pharmacists who are fluent in other languages. In addition, insurance companies employ pharmacists to do consulting which does not require licensure. Good luck!
