It's pretty school specific. Biology is typically the one that schools are least happy to accept; nevertheless, if you don't want to take another upper level with labs, you will still be able to put together a decent list of schools. The only schools you won't be able to apply to are the ones that don't accept any credit at all for AP Bio, even if supplemented, in the year of biology with labs. These schools include many of the "top-tiers".
Basically the best advice is what you already thought. E-mail/look at the websites of the schools you would like to apply to. If a school won't consider your AP/one upper level with lab as fulfilling their prereqs, then you either need to take an additional upper level with lab, or take that school off your list.
