What is the mechanism of B12 neuropathy. I can't seem to find it in goljan's notes....

"Vitamin B12 deficiency causes an increase in propionyl and methylmalonyl CoA and their corresponding acids. Propionyl acid replaces acetyl CoA in neuronal membranes resulting in demyelination."

It's on p 207 of the 3rd edition if you want to see more on it.
