Hi, I am a pharmacist from Dominican Republic, but my program is 4 years, so I can not get my pharmacist certification to work in USA. I am thinking to apply to an university in USA, I would like temple cause I live in PA now, but I dont really want to start from zero. I am not sure if they accept credits from others universities (outside USA) I will appreciate any information or help.

Hi Xiomara.....I wonder if you are still able to see this message and share what answers you got to that concern you had at that moment...I graduated as a pharmacist in Dom rep a few years ago and same as you I am trying to live my pharmacy dream here in US . Being 33 years old and don't know how....

I think back in the day, a decent number of foreign pharmacists were able to get their visa sponsored by the big chains. These days, the only real viable option seems to be applying to pharmacy school and starting over.

If you have any program that's five year back home then it's better to go back and finish one year if it is allowed and than come back and take tests to become rph. Otherwise need to start all over again.
