Bachelor of General Studies at UCONN?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
UConn's Post Bacc Program is a program offered through UConn School of Medicine. It is a one or two year program designed to help prepare students for medical school. Some students need to complete their prereqs; others are taking advanced science classes. Students take classes at the main UConn campus in Storrs. Post-Bacc students can apply to the General Studies Program to be eligible for financial aid.

The College of Continuing Studies at UConn offers the General Studies Program for students who wish to obtain a Bachelors in General Studies. The programs are completely different and unrelated except for the financial aid connection for the Post-Bacc Students. You can however register for classes on your own through the Continuing Studies Department.

Go to www.uchc.edu and click on School of Medicine. There is info on the post-bacc program listed under academic programs. If you have questions, contact Dr. Keat Sanford at Uconn Med. He is the Director of the Program.
