Applied to sub-is for plastics. Was accepted for a sub-i at a smaller program where a student from my school just matched this year. Will this affect my chances of matching there? Have heard mixed things from residents, PDs etc but I was wondering if programs avoid matching applicants from the same school in subsequent years, especially with regard to surg specialties and smaller programs.
Back to back match from same school?

If anything, people who do well in sub-I or even in PGY1 make a halo effect for their school and PDs say "send us more people like Joe/Jill"
