If I don't match this cycle should I just do this: On their own - Binghamton News

The MD degree seems too restrictive if I don't match. Should I open up my options and get the more versatile NP degree so I won't need residency and can just switch specialties whenever I want?

Don't worry about me being unsafe and hurting patients, my Mom (MD dermatologist) says she will apprentice me if I decide to forego residency and go the NP route.

Not sure if you are being serious or not... However, if you are do you have a BSN already? If not, you just sank a ton of money to go into medicine to go back to being an NP.
