Hello all, I had a quick question I wanted to pose to the community. I am applying ortho this year and have a solid resume but still worry about not matching so I am applying to anesthesia as a backup specialty. My ERAS application is understandable full of Ortho research/interest group ect which makes it kind of obvious I was interested in it for awhile now. My question is how do you go about addressing this in your personal statement for the backup specialty? Does it even matter? Should I explain that I had a last minute "change of heart"? I already have a second set of LOR for my anesthesia app with no mention of ortho. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you all!
