I just finished my 2nd year at USC, and my current cumulative GPA is 3.0. I started off as a spring admit, so I went to community college for my 1st semester where I got a 4.0. Then in the subsequent semesters, I got a 2.4, a 2.1, and then a 3.2. I've done a lot to fix my study habits and I know that my GPA is only going to be on the upswing from here. I'm going to start studying for the MCAT now, and I plan on taking it Senior year. I know that I'll be taking a year off after I graduate, but I'm not 100% sure what I'll be doing in that year off. Depending on what I get on the MCAT, I was thinking of joining the Israeli Army as either a medic or infantry fighter after graduation. Other than school though, I've been doing breast cancer research at UCLA for over a year with potential of getting published, I am the chief marketing officer and co-owner of an up and coming clothing company, I write for a big electronic dance music website, am in a fraternity, and intend on shadowing a neurosurgeon soon.
Any feedback is appreciated

Can't really give you any information until you're actually ready to apply...

"Good everything else" pretty much just revolves around what you score on your MCAT. Come back once you've taken it and we can better assess your situation.

As for your GPA, it's still salvageable. Assuming you're halfway done with a 3.0, you can theoretically bring it up to a 3.5 once you graduate (meaning you'll be applying summer after senior year, so anticipate a gap year)

maybe come back after you are about to apply like all the others said and see where GPA is at.

FYI, i had 3 MD acceptances with a 2.7 first year GPA and graduated with a cGPA just under 3.5 with 34 on MCAT. So it's perfectly doable.
