I know some ppl may think I am crazy. I kinda wanna to take a DAT exam just for practice. Just to see how it feels like.

But does it look bad if I have VERY low first DAT score in every section? Or does the admission actually like applicants who take the DAT many times with upward trends?

Thanks!

Uh, I wouldn't do that. You should approach the DAT as if it were your only chance EVER to take it. Take a practice exam instead!

I do know what you mean; it would have been nice to take it to see how to handle the anxiety, timing, testing conditions, ect. It would be cool if you could void your scores like all the other tests, but until then it would be flat out STUPID to take the DAT for practice.

One idea I came up with was take the PCAT. I never did it, but I understand it is a lot like the DAT - PAT and a little easier, nevertheless similar. Dental schools (as far as I know) would have no idea you took it. It could be your little secret.

Food for thought,

Horrible idea to take the actual DAT for practice. Reasons?

1) It costs a lot of money. $250 to practice once?
2) You then can not take it again for 6 months. Most people do not study for the test that long so for months you wont be doing anything.
3) Although ad com's like to see improvement, they would rather see one kick ass score.

Solution? Get Top-Score for $45. There are 3 full practice tests that are pretty similar to the real deal.

I like how you steal other peoples posts from other forums or how you post the exact same threads on two different forums. You're the type of person who needs help putting on his underwear and cleaning his a$$.

Good luck 😀

Dude, do you ask other peoples opinion on when to wake up, eat, shower. Can you make a decision without someone holding your hand.

You'd better recheck your info pdizzle, 6 months? $250- maybe if you apply to 12 schools.
