Now what on earth does "Bad Scutmonkey" mean?

Scut is any mindless work that is usually done by residents and especially interns and med students. It includes drawing blood, putting in IVs, pushing stretchers, and anything else a trained "monkey" could do, thus the term "scutmonkey". You should read the book "Intern Blues" by Marion.
