So I'm at the point where I'm prepping for reapplication in case things don't go my way this cycle. The only red flag on my application that I'm aware of is a significant lack of volunteer hours. I want to increase at least the clinical volunteering hours, but I haven't been able to find opportunities that offer a lot of hours and that work in my schedule.
This semester, I have joined the volunteer team with a mobile clinic that serves uninsured patients in my area, but they don't have any events going on right now and no information about when they will resume. I started volunteering with surveillance COVID testing at my university, but I can only fit in about 5 hours a week there due to my class schedule. I also plan to volunteer with COVID vaccination events for elderly patients at my workplace, but we don't know when those will be yet and they could be few and far between.
My question is: will it look bad to add two or three new volunteer activities to my application with only about 50-100 hours apiece? Or do I need to find one thing that is more consistent that I could potentially get 100+ hours out of by May? Thanks in advance!
