Just a quick question about the balance of two scores. So let's assume one student has a DAT score of 18~19 AA but has an outstanding PAT score like a 24 or above. Would schools consider the student as a competitive applicant?

None of us pre-dent students really know, and it is wildly blasphemous for anyone of us to even come up with a conclusion based on scores like that.

It will be severely a case-by-case situation depending on the other credentials of the student. Only admissions staff/faculty really would know the answer for this.

From what I experienced from college applications, there is, and most likely isn't, a 100% set formula for simply getting in dental school. There has to be a large number of other factors that come into play, and the spread of DAT scores isn't the one and only deciding factor.
