I am confused between two of these schools because I really like the Philly area and somehow I think Baltimore is ranked higher and I would also be counted as in-state for Baltimore. I got accepted to Temple and Baltimore so I have to decide but personally I enjoy the Philly area more. Any advice on this? Thanks

UMB in a heart beat! It was my first choice until I visited Baltimore last year and found it quite scary and the roads small to drive so declined the Jan interview after much introspection but had I been a MD resident and used to the place, I would have definitely gone there.

Plus you would be coming out with a lot less loans. It's a better deal.

Baltimore is not very scary. You just need to have some basic street smarts, know how to act, know where not to go.

If you don't go looking for trouble, trouble won't find you. I have lived in a "dangerous" city for more than a decade of my life and never once has my car been vandalized, I ever been accosted or mugged, or anything else. One guy did try to fight me because I was rooting (loudly) for the other team at a bar. But he was 70 and falling down drunk.

Baltimore is only as dangerous as you make it.
