Im not 100% sure if this question is appropriate for this forum but does anybody know what the consequences for having previously filed for bankruptcy are on obtaining loans for medical school? Thank you!

No, it is not appropriate for this forum because you do not want to get the wrong advice on this issue. Call the USDOE and they will give you the correct information over the phone or direct you to that part of their website which has this information. I believe it is 5 years post-bankruptcy but you should verify this information with them and not on an anonymous forum when you are dealing with financial issues.

As stated in my post, that is a question to ask the USDOE...not SDN 😉
