I'm trying to debate going to an invite to interview at oregon and I was hoping I could get a few basic answers to help the decision from people who have interviewed there, or people who know what THIS year is going to be like.
How many students to they plan to accept (roughly)?
Is it still an MSTP?
What are expense situations, i.e. Stipend, and Tuition Coverage
Ideas on what the "strong" departments are?
what the rough average is of kids getting through the program? like 7.8 or 8.2 years or 9 years etc.
How well are the med students, or just md/phd students, performing on Step 1? ideally a rough number score they are getting
I think thats it for now. I know the area is great, I've been there lots of times and know I would enjoy the area, just deciding on the school now. I live on the east coast and to get out there is going to be a lot of money and a lot of time off work that is already giving me grief over time off for interviews. So I want to make sure its totally worth going to.
Thanks, any input would be great.
