What levels/depths of basic sciences is required for ophthalmology residency ?

examples :
anatomy : head anatomy
physiology : ?????
Biochemistry : ????
neuro ???

i am asking this because it has been a while since i graduated from medical school and some of the basic sciences starting to evaporate (so as opthalmology informations) and i would like to start refreshing , i think that opthalmology program is good choice for me

am i right or wrong ?

you definitely need all of that. whether specific to ophtho or not, you will need to learn it again in residency.

there is plenty of physiology from fluid shifts (osmolality, etc) to venous/arterial flow, etc. neurology has an entire field called neuro-ophthalmology. biochemistry is also a part of the residency. Is it stuff that you HAVE to know from medical school? Maybe not necessarily as it gets very specific to Ophtho, but at least some fundamental knowledge would sure be helpful!

good luck
