Im new to SDN Forums & I have an interview at Baylor next week!!! 😱 (Jan 13!!!) I've read the interview feedback section & I have a better idea of what might happen, but I want to know if anybody has any additional tips or extra things I should know about. (Its getting closer and closer to D-day and my nerves are getting tha best of me----just a little bit!)

Thanks in advance for any help given! 😀

Get there early. They interview you in order of who signs in first. So the sooner you interview, the sooner you leave. I was one of the first interviews done on my day. I was half way home when I realized I left something at the school. When I came back an hour later, other people were STILL being interviewed.

If you are driving, give yourself 10 extra minutes because the area is a little tricky (stupid 1 way streets). Also allow for delays in case of traffic.

They give you a 10 dollar ticket thing for food. You will not use it all and it's better to just grab a bunch of stuff and hand them out to the starving dental students (they were pretty surprised when I started handing out free food). OH, and grab something thats already cooked. If you have to wait for your meal, you might end up behind some of the others and have to rush your meal (I had to do this 🙁)

Aside from this, enjoy your time there. The interviewers were very nice and the day went by pretty smoothly. OH and make sure you have some coffee before you go to the interview. They start the day with a presentation on financial aid and it gets kind of boring (don't yawn in front of them). Good luck with your interview. 🙂

I got there at 8, and was one of the first 3 to get interviewed. What was nice is that they gave me a $10 breakfast voucher because I was there so early. They didn't do this for anyone else, so I felt kinda special 🙂. Of course, the next person got there at around 9:30.

I just looked around the school and bumped into a few students & faculty members. It may have looked good, it may have not mattered. *shrug*

I just left that it was good for me, because I got to get into my interview series sooner.

8 am is way too early. You'll be sitting around doing nothing the entire time. Better to use that time for sleep. 🙂

thanx again 4 tha input! 🙂
