I learned yesterday that I was accepted into the BCM Smart program and today I learned that I am a top candidate for a UVM Neuroscience Fellowship. I am also waiting for decisions from the NYU neuroscience research program and the Cornell Travelers Program. Since my resume was not very well developed in the past I have never had to make a choice between summer programs and was always grateful when I learned about a last minute acceptance.
Now, I have no idea how to choose between these programs. I've heard a lot of great things about BCM Smart, but not much about any of the other programs. Does anyone have any background in these or advice? I'm currently a junior Neuroscience major and pre-med. One of my main concerns is that the BCM program is too large(70 students) compared to the others UVM only has 6 fellowships. I did a really great public health internship last summer with only 6 other interns and we all bonded and became like family over the summer. I'm worried that BCM won't offer the same kind of connections.
