What is the point of having a bcm (biology, chemistry, math) and a science gpa to indicate performance in science classes? Also, many schools require physics as a science course but physics will not fall under the bcm gpa.

Which gpa (bcm, science, or both) is noted on your AADSAS application? The two numbers can be very different especially if you took physics and go to a school that requires physics.

Actually the GPAs reported by AADSAS are BCP (bio, chem, physics) and Science. I don't know the reasoning behind the two. I have spoken with several dental schools and they told me they put more weight on the BCP gpa than the science gpa.

Thanks for clearing that up. It's BCP. Do classes like psychology and neuroscience count as science?

Neuroscience counts as Science... Upper level courses of Psychology also count as science.

i remember having a lot of problems filling out the course work. i would just look at the FAQs for coursework and they answered most of my questions about which class falls in which section.

worst comes to worst you can always call AADSAS and ask them directly any questions you have.

Tell me about it. I remember having trouble which one is considered introductory and which one was upper level. 👎
