Hi all,

Looking for a study partner for BCPS. Planning to take in mid April.
Hi! I just took the exam in Fall 2023. I studied for 2 and 1/2 months with HYMR and passed first time around. I highly recommend their vcps package! Best of luck!

Hello, I am taking mine saturday. I wish I would of found this sooner. I have been using accp.

I took mine Saturday as well! I felt like it was heavily Biostats and more population/policy questions. Really don't know how I'm going to wait 90 days for the scores to be released!!!

Hi! How were you able to get through the entire package? Did you watch videos or only use the lectures/workbook?

Scores are up, posted night before stated release date... Thankful I passed!! First attempt. Best of luck to everyone!

congrats! any tips on your studying habits?
Hi! I used ACCP materials mainly. I had the ACCP flip cards from a few years ago, used the 2023 book, and purchased the Statistics book through their site. I had to teach myself statistics again and reviewed this every couple of weeks to retain through repetition. I read through TLDR statistics or YouTube a concept if I felt I wasn’t understanding it correctly. As for the modules, I initially tried Anker flash cards where I made them myself but found the material to be too much and overwhelming. I think what worked best was making my own study sheets and referring back to the chapter if I needed a deeper understanding based on what I wrote in my own study guide. It’s so much material that I would start early if you don’t have much practical experience or not doing clinical day in and day out.

Do the questions and if you know topics fairly well then do brief review. I didn’t even make study guides for the topics I felt I was strong in. If you miss something then go back to understand why. Take timed mock exam to make sure you get a feel for how much time you will have for each question (average 1.5 min). This will also test your endurance since I was surprised to find I won’t get a break and any breaks will cut into my testing time where previous tests got a 30 min break in between when there were 175 questions. The test will also break down weaknesses and strengths. Review the regulatory stuff and terms, These are questions that should be right or wrong without too much application. I took the mock about a month out and focused on weaknesses, stats, regulatory, and practice questions after that. I retook the mock about a week before the exam.

Fortunately I was able to get some days off before the exam for last minute cramming and my study guides had a lot of tables and quick drug info on them so I was able to flip through them a couple of times. The test was a slew of random clinical scenarios and my stats questions were mainly application and interpretation - not the easy 3 groups, nominal data what test do you use. So I was thankful I reviewed statistics intensely every couple of weeks.

Sleep well the night before (I didn’t do what I am advising but wish I had) because by that point, you know what you know and staying up part of the night isn’t going to help you retain any more. Eat a healthy meal before going, nothing carb heavy. I think the only way I survived the exam with lack of sleep was due to adrenaline and nerves.

Best of luck to you and hope this helps!

Thank you!

do you guys know if they sent out the results already for the spring 2024 BCPS exam ?

Anyone using the ACCP lectures and the presentation slides? The ACCP workbooks are a lot of material. Not sure how to narrow this down

I am scheduled for mid november. I have the ACCP lectures, slides, book. It is ALOT of information. Hoping to have enough time.
Secret is knowing what to study and what isn't that important to memorize. impossible to memorize everything

I wish I knew that, would definitely be less stressed than I am at the moment! 😢
don't get stressed out. you can take it 2 times a year until you pass.. LOL No need to be stressed about this. You will pass eventually if not the first time. and it's been that way to Generate revenue for the BPS. Noone told you that, right ? Good thing smart people like me are here to tell you the truth🙂
