The above post was from a few months ago. It is now blocked. There were a lot of people blaming the victim rather than the program, which is indeed malignant to no end. Many of the attendings are miserable working at Mallinckrodt and take it out on residents. Residents are often called " *****s, worthless, pieces of ****, etc." We get no time off to study for the board exam with a high fail rate when every other program give their residents time off to study. Our calls are brutal only to be publicly humiliated in front of our peers by all our misses during the readout next day. If anybody dares to speak out they get punished further by the PD and her gang.

Are you a current resident there? If you're claiming this is such a prevalent and malignant issue, why not report this to the ACGME instead of bashing a program in a "he said, she said" manner on a forum right before the match? I'm sorry if this is true (highly doubting it because of multiple accounts maligning the program in such a weird way--not to mention several alums and current trainees from the program have shared the complete opposite experience that you have repeatedly stated)... but you (and all the other residents) should be informing interviewees during their interviews, and reporting it to the proper authorities.

Posting here just casts more suspicion on what you're saying, and doesn't help anyone.

So for transparency I'm going to leave this up so people don't think we go around randomly deleting threads, but the group grinding their axe here was very aggressive in spamming this message all over the place last fall. We have no particular stake in this dispute, but we're not going to allow a discussion that was shut down several months ago due to bad behavior on behalf of the axe-grinders to start all over again.

Thread closed.
