Hi,

I'm a 3rd year dentistry student from England(UK), and only have knowledge of how to become a dentist in the UK. I am very interested to know how other systems work especially the american and australian. Here in England, you study dentistry for 5/6 years and then depending on if you want to become a general dental practioner/hospital dentist/The Forces, do further relevant training, but you are paid after you get the degree, BDS.
How does it work in America, and how do british qualified dentists practice in America.
Also how are dentists paid in America?, In england it is generally a fee for piece of work.
I would appreciate any info'.
Thanks
x 🙂

you need to pass National Boards [American], then go to dental school for two years, then take state boards. Money is good, approx. $ 100,000 (average) a year. 🙂
