I'm not sure if there's already a thread regarding this, I tried to search for it. Is it possible to take any classes before pharmacy school that you can get credit for in pharmacy school? Like taking microbiology the semester before and not having to take it in pharm school? I'm taking spring semester off and going to Midwestern CCP in the fall so I'm trying to find something to do besides work!

I haven't heard of anything like that. But you can take upper level sciences courses if you believe they will prepare you more for pharmacy school.

Or if you have a personal interest in any classes, you can take them too. In pharmacy school, you're going to take all of the science courses you need, so if you wanted to take an ethics class or a psychology class, now would be the time to to do it.

Ive never heard of that either. Someone mentioned it in the facebook group I started for CCP. I have to inquire more about it because that would be sweet. Congrats on your acceptance. Ill be seeing you next fall.

It is highly doubtful since you haven't actually matriculated to a school of pharmacy yet. No credit earned prior to the first day of class your P1 year counts at my school and I am inclined to think this is the case with all other pharmacy schools.

Only way this is possible is if you're in a 0-6 program and you take classes in your undergrad years that you'd otherwise take in your professional phase.

That. I know some people taking biochem during the summer so they don't need to take it during the professional years.
